Settlement Reached in Fla. Election Suit

The NAACP and other civil rights groups have reached a settlement in their lawsuit against Florida and local elections officials and agencies. In the agreement, the defendants agreed to make changes in their agencies and election procedures to ensure there will not be improper purging from the voter rolls, agencies comply with the National Voter Registration Act, and election workers receive training on voter registration and polling place procedures.
