With the 2002 elections finally behind us, most election administrators can breathe a sigh of relief; there were no major calamities like in 2000. At the same time, as a result of the election reform law Congress just passed, administrators must already start looking to the elections to come. Over the next few years, New Yorkers in particular are going to experience a whole new way of registering and voting. And it is up to our elected officials, election administrators and civic leaders to tackle the tough task of figuring out how to implement the myriad changes the new law requires in a way that will make our elections more successful than they�ve been in the past.
