This conference examined the legal and policy issues surrounding the ongoing transformation in voting technology. It brought together lawyers, law professors, computer scientists, political scientists, and advocates, including Professor David Dill of Stanford Law School, Professor Michael Shamos of Carnegie Mellon University, and Professor Henry Brady of the University of California at Berkeley. Wang discussed racial disparities in spoiled ballot rates, the subject of her recent issue brief African Americans, Voting Machines, and Spoiled Ballots.
