 In 2008, upwards of thirty states are likely to hold presidential nominating contests on or before February 5. As discussed previously in a recent Century Foundation issue brief, there are many potential consequences of such a development, most negative but a few positive. The Century Foundation invited four outside experts in the field to weigh in on this important issue. All four participants were asked to address two basic questions: What is wrong and right with the prospective primary system? What should be done to reform the system in the future?
